Matlock Bridge is a vibrant indepedant shopping district to the South West of the River Derwent. A short walk over Matlock Bridge, or over the foot bridge from Hall Leys park, this row of shops, bars restaurants.
Dale Road (the A6) runs from Matlock to Matlock Bath, where it becomes North Parade, then South Parade, then Derby Road.

The Derbyshire Dales District Council Olde Englishe carpark is on Olde Englishe Road, just off Dale Road. You can also arrive by Train to Matlock station or by parking at Matlock Bath and walking back along dale road.
If parking in Matlock, cross Hall Leys park and head towards the river. pass over the foot bridge on to Olde Englishe Road and then on to Dale Road. The Shops and businesses await you there!
In 1698 warm springs were discovered at Matlock Bath a bath house was built. The town has never looked back since. Lord Byron compared it with alpine Switzerland. In autumn of each year, the Iluminations or "Venetian Nights" are held, lighting up the river bank and with a flotilla of illuminated boats.
On Sundays in summer the town is a motorcyclists dream, as many visit to enjoy the area and the town.
